PDFxMakerPro converts Delta job files into CGATS PDF/X-1a format.

One of the most useful new features of PDFxMakerPro is the "Output Resolution" option.
It provides a flexible instrument that can tune output files resolution for any given
resolution of the source files. We prepared a set of example files to show how different
PDFxMakerPro settings impact the output.
Reducing Output Resolution significantly reduces the output
file size but has little effect on its quality. It is very useful for remote proofing.
The PostScript from Quark was first ripped by the Heidelberg Delta Rip to a 2540 DPI print
queue and exported to Delta Lists. Then Lucid's PDFxMakerPro was used to convert the
Delta jobs to composite PDF files with different Output Resolution values.
The table shows the PDF files' characteristics for different Output Resolution settings.
(You can download and compare the example files).

Two more examples show the usage of the Ink Tables.
In DeltaList files the colors are defined by symbolic names. Special Ink Tables are used
in order to refer them to the CMYK equivalents for computer presentation. Ink Table is a
file where all standard PANTONE inks are listed with their CMYK equivalent values. Such Ink
Table file contains in the installer and is placed into the application's working directory.
Often the Delta users want to define their own colors and insert them into the
Ink Table used by the Delta RIP.
If you set PDFxMakerPro to use the Delta Ink Table then it will first scan this table
for the color values and Lucid standard Inktable.txt next. Hence if the same color is listed in
both tables then the values from the Delta table will be used. The example shows one Delta
Lists set processed by PDFxMakerPro with different Ink Table settings.
The file1 was generated with the
standard Ink Table.
The file2 was generated
with Delta TCT table where CMYK equivalents for PANTONE 3255 CVC are different. Compare the
files to clearly see the difference.
