Thermal Compositor is an
application that converts files from the Heidelberg Delta List format to the DuPont Digital
WaterProof/Cromalin proofer format. The package consists of a single application, ThermalCompositor,
that can be used manually, or called automatically by the Delta RIP.
Firstly you should install it into your Delta directory.
The Delta Rip is then shutdown and the software protection
Dongle is attached to the back of the Delta Dongle and
the system is restarted.
Thermal Compositor can now be started from the
Start menu under Programs for the initial setup.
The
Thermal Compositor main window contains the log window, a progress bar that shows job
progress, and
four buutons,

Gray Density Of...
This controls how CMYK colors are conveted to Gray.
The CMYK values of a given color are multiplied by
the entered values, then added together to get the gray
density. Spot colors are convertd to CMYK, then
processed in the same manner. The spot to CMYK conversion is controlled by an included look-up table,
which may be edited by the user. The table file is
named INKTABLE.txt, and is in the same directory as
the ThermalCompositor.exe file.
Output Media
Allows you to select the output material setting. Selecting default passes the material setting
from the input
Delta job to the output Delta job. Selecting a name from the pop-up menu substitutes
that material. The pop-up
values are created by putting Delta *.qry files into the same directory as
ThermalCompositor.exe.
