TIFF/ITflow - technical guide

Power workflow

This new technology integrates into the Delta Rip environment. TIFF/ITflow is installed directly on the Delta Rip. The Delta Rip is then shutdown and the software protection Dongle is attached to the back of the Delta Dongle and the system re-started. Then TIFF/ITflow is configured as part of a Delta Export Queue. It runs in a completely automated fashion.

When TIFF/ITflow was installed, you can run it directly from the Start menu, and change default settings for your proofing purposes.

All TIFF/ITflow options are combined into groups and each group occupies a separate tab. You can set the working directories, Rotation parameters for the output files and change the Resolution.
Most important tab is the "Output" one. You must select the output TIFF/ITflow format there. Depending on the format you have to define other parameters of the output files. You can control the contents and the number of the output files in the resulting set by the options "Don't merge Trapping", "Don't create HC file", "Don't create LW file".
For the 1-bit TIFF/IT output the "Set" button allows selection of a particular screening threshold array from disk array.

The "Log" tab is used to control the conversion process.
After you have configured the software the options would be stored and then used for all jobs that TIFF/ITflow processes. But you can change the options for any selected job. Use the Job Ticket (JT) for that job to apply individual options. If you run the application with a JT then the parameters from the JT take effect. Currently the job tickets for TIFF/ITflow are created in XML format. You don't have to edit the JT manually. TIFF/ITflow will save the parameters you define in a JT that you can later use with your jobs. Start TIFF/ITflow, set all necessary options and press the "Job Ticket…" button to save your settings.
